1. Overview

Short version: OurPlan stores your data in your own iCloud account. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not run third-party analytics on your financial information.

OurPlan ("we", "our", "us") is a couples budgeting application for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use OurPlan, how it is used, and the choices you have regarding your information.

By using OurPlan, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.

2. Data We Collect

OurPlan collects only the information you explicitly provide to run the budgeting features of the app.

3. How Your Data Is Stored

All budget and transaction data is stored in two places:

Sync between partners is handled entirely through Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. OurPlan does not operate its own servers for user data. Your data travels directly between your device and your iCloud account, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

The invite link used to pair partners passes through a CloudKit public database record, which is deleted after the pairing is complete or after 48 hours, whichever comes first.

4. Third Parties

OurPlan does not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal or financial information with any third party for marketing, advertising, or analytics purposes.

All Apple services are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

OurPlan offers an optional Pro subscription (monthly and annual) processed entirely through Apple's App Store via StoreKit 2.

6. Children's Privacy

OurPlan is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through our app, please contact us at support@getourplan.app and we will promptly delete it.

7. Your Rights & Data Deletion

Because your data lives in your iCloud account and on your device, you have full control at all times.

OurPlan Pro includes a CSV export feature that lets you download all your transaction and budget data in a standard format at any time.

California residents (CCPA)

Because OurPlan does not sell your personal information to third parties, most CCPA sale opt-out rights do not apply. You still have the right to know what data is collected (described above) and to delete it (instructions above). Contact us at support@getourplan.app with any requests.

EU/UK residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, your data is processed under the lawful basis of contract (to provide the app service you requested). You have the right to access, correct, and erase your data. Contact support@getourplan.app to exercise these rights.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify users within the app. Continued use of OurPlan after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
