Download OurPlan from the App Store and open it. The onboarding flow will guide you through entering your income, setting up your budget buckets, and inviting your partner. The whole process takes about 5–10 minutes.
Sync uses Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) — no OurPlan account needed. The first partner completes setup and taps "Invite Partner." A link is generated (or a 6-character code). The second partner opens the link on their iPhone and the shared plan appears automatically. Both partners need to be signed into iCloud.
Try these steps in order:
1. Make sure both devices are connected to the internet
2. Check that iCloud Drive is enabled: iPhone Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → iCloud Drive → On
3. Pull down to refresh in OurPlan
4. Close and reopen the app
5. If the issue persists, contact us at support@getourplan.app with your device model and iOS version.
A bucket is a named spending category with a monthly allocation. For example: "Rent – $1,500", "Groceries – $500", "Date Nights – $200". Buckets replace complicated spreadsheet categories with something visual and simple. Transactions are logged against buckets so you always know where you stand.
A Money Meeting is a guided 10-minute weekly check-in you do together. The app walks you through reviewing last week's spending, checking bucket balances, and setting intentions for the coming week. It's designed to make the "money talk" feel structured, low-stress, and productive.
On payday, OurPlan sends a notification reminding you to confirm that money has moved to the right accounts. You work through a simple checklist (rent paid, savings transferred, etc.) to close the loop. It keeps both partners accountable without requiring manual tracking every day.

All subscriptions are managed by Apple. To cancel:
1. Open iPhone Settings
2. Tap your Apple ID at the top
3. Tap Subscriptions
4. Tap OurPlan Pro and select Cancel Subscription
You will retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period. We do not issue refunds for unused time — those are handled by Apple directly.
Yes. Each partner manages their own subscription independently. At ~$4.17/month each on the annual plan, that works out to roughly $2/person/month — less than most budgeting apps charge for a single user.
Yes. All your data is stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account — not on OurPlan's servers. We never collect bank credentials, account numbers, or payment information. iCloud data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple. See our full Privacy Policy.
Inside OurPlan: go to Settings → Danger Zone → Delete All Data. This removes everything from your device immediately.
To also remove iCloud data: go to iPhone Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → OurPlan → Delete Data.
You can also simply delete the app — all local data is removed automatically.
